It is the capital of Republic of China (Taiwan). It is the political, economic and cultural centre of Taiwan. It is known for its many night markets and the ost famous is located in Shilin District. Xinyi district is popular among tourist and locals for its shopping venue and the world's famous tallest building Taipei 101.
Transportations:
Metro- is a rapid transit line to connect the city with Taoyuan International airport and Taoyuan County.
Rail- it runs passengers and freight services throughout the whole island.
Bus- it is a city bus system not covered by the metro and has a exclusive bus lane to facilitate transfortation. Locals and foreigner's use the Easycard for a discounted rates on buses.
